Often we take too narrow a view of life like the little twig on the end of furthest limb of a tree. It is vital with buds and blossoms full and fragrant. However, it would be foolish for that little twig to say it had no need of the limb. Cut from the tree it could not survive a single day but it would wither and die. Its beauty and fragrance gone. To be fragrant foliage we must remain attached to the source of our strength. We must study the words of the prophets in the scriptures.

Day 1
Genesis 1; Genesis 2; Genesis 3; Genesis 4
God creates this earth and its heaven and all forms of life in six days—The creative acts of each day are described—God creates man, both male and female, in his own image—Man is given dominion over all things and is commanded to multiply and fill the earth. The Creation is completed—God rests on the seventh day—The prior spirit creation is explained—Adam and Eve are placed in the Garden of Eden—They are forbidden to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil—Adam names every living creature—Adam and Eve are married by the Lord. The serpent (Lucifer) deceives Eve—She and then Adam partake of the forbidden fruit—Her Seed (Christ) will bruise the serpent’s head—The roles of woman and of man are explained—Adam and Eve are cast out of the Garden of Eden—Adam presides—Eve becomes the mother of all living. Eve bears Cain and Abel—They offer sacrifices—Cain slays Abel and is cursed by the Lord, who also sets a mark upon him—The children of men multiply—Adam begets Seth, and Seth begets Enos.
